Storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to influence, teach, and inspire. But what makes storytelling so effective for learning? For starters, it forges connections among people, and between people and ideas. A case in point is its innovative virtual escape room game. As the name suggests, it provides the experience of a physical escape room, but in a virtual environment. The games can be used to build teamworking spirit and offer knowledge simultaneously. Employees start with an introductory storyline video that describes the main characters of the story. Each room corresponds to certain concepts of an e-learning course. The players must solve the puzzles and the riddles related to the organisation’s project to get out of the room. Netflex is its other breakthrough offering. The ingenious solution uses a Netflix-like user interface to stream content in a series and seasons. For a pharmaceutical company, the LMP program called the DAKAR challenge was created to launch a new product for dermatitis. The program aimed to design the entire project route, like the famous DAKAR off-road rally race. It provided an introductory video citing the particulars of the project, and a map that indicated the duration of the project until the final launch. The agenda for each day was displayed on the left, so the participants knew the presentation or meetings they had to attend or activities they had to carry out. After every task, the results were communicated both at an individual and a team level, which helped the company take future steps appropriately.
