For over 20 years, Princeton Longevity Center, the country’s top preventive medicine and executive health center, has helped thousands of companies protect their most important assets - their executives - by performing the most technologically advanced Executives Physicals available. With a focus on preventive medicine testing that finds health problems at the earliest stages, and individualized plans that reduce risk of deadly, but preventable, diseases, Princeton Longevity Center truly helps executives take control of their health.

In an interview with Manage HR magazine, Andrea Lanza, Director of Corporate Services at Princeton Longevity Center, talks about how its Comprehensive Executive Exams and in-depth evaluations go beyond the standard of Executive care.

Could you give us a quick overview of the Princeton Longevity Center?

Princeton Longevity Center is an advanced Preventive Medicine and Executive Health Center with a focus on personalized medicine and high-touch service. Our Centers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions perform the latest tests that can save executives’ lives or give them a great deal of peace of mind. With detailed results, we provide executives a roadmap to help them live longer, look younger and feel better. A Princeton Longevity Exam is not your usual physical where very little can be accomplished and is not meaningful for best outcomes. We spend a full 6-8 hours with our executive clients, and by the end of that day, clients walk away with life-changing information and a game plan - including all of their test results. Because our technology has the ability to catch problems well before the first symptoms, we have helped many executives find early cancers, heart disease, diabetes, and more, when the problems were treatable with greater success. We serve companies and their executives from all over the world who rely on us to keep their key employees healthy so they can focus on being productive and engaged both in and out of the office.

What are the challenges faced by your clients, and how do you address them?

We believe that general medical and Executive Health care are missing a personalized and preventive approach. Most screenings or testing guidelines are simply insufficient or, worse, reactive instead of proactive. Additionally, doctors don’t have enough time to spend with patients and there may be a knowledge gap in what to do with unfamiliar results. To personalize our care, Princeton Longevity Center’s expert physicians see no more than three executives per day so we can provide them with all of the time and attention needed for a thorough exam and to create a personalized plan. Princeton Longevity Center’s technology-driven approach also uses preventive tools that other Executive Health Programs don’t have to bring more meaningful results and effect positive outcomes. For example, in our CardiaResQ program that is focused on slowing, stopping or even reversing Coronary Artery Disease, we utilize advanced Cardiac Imaging with AI interpretations that allow us to quantify and follow arterial plaque types, amounts, and locations. Rather than the “wait-and-see” approach of a typical Cardiology Plan, over time, Princeton Longevity Center’s serial cardiac evaluations uniquely allow us to determine if a patient’s treatment is achieving the desired results and to titrate a patient’s treatment year over year based on that data. We offer this type of unique, preventive, and personalized approach with all Princeton Longevity Center Executive Exams, and our new programs that have a focus on Cancer Prevention, Genetics, Men’s Health & Vitality, Athletic Performance, and more.

Could you elaborate on the programs for corporate health and executive health?

Patients come to the Princeton Longevity Center because we are specialists in prevention and executive health. Approximately 35 percent of our clients come to us directly from a company sponsored program, while about 65 percent are individuals who come on their own, many being executives nevertheless. Our Executive Physical Programs are customizable to the needs of both the company who engages us and to the executive who completes the program.

A Princeton Longevity Center Executive Physical includes a set standard of components like a Coronary Artery Scan with Calcium Scoring, stress test, EKG, Bone Density Scan, Fitness and Nutrition evaluations, over 30 laboratory tests, and hours of time with their Princeton Longevity physician. We then offer a large selection of elective options to customize the executive’s program - including Full Body Imaging, Brain MRI, Multi-cancer detection blood tests, and much more. It’s never a one-size-fits-all program.

What technologies do you leverage as a company for your clients?

Princeton Longevity Center provides an unmatched package of advanced imaging, testing and AI technologies to our clients. With 50 percent of men having plaque in their arteries by 40, one in three getting a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and a diabetes epidemic in our country - leveraging the most advanced technologies for early disease detection and prevention can make all the difference in health outcomes.

Some of our most elected testing includes Full Body CT Imaging that finds the earliest stages of cancer, aneurysms, vascular disease, and heart disease; Memory & Cognitive Testing including Quantitative Brain MRI to assess and screen for the many conditions that can affect memory and cognitive changes as well as screen for signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia; and Genetic Testing for an individualized approach to tailor your wellness roadmap.

Our revolutionary Cardiac CT Angiography is a quick and easy way to visualize the inside of coronary arteries non-invasively, which allows us to change the trajectory of a potential heart attack risk even 10 or 20 years prior to a heart attack.

What are the differentiating factors that set you apart from the market?

The incredible level of technology and master-class of doctors at the forefront of Princeton Longevity Center set us apart, and our high level of customer service is just behind that. Customer Service is a key factor to our program that is uncommon in the industry and is the reason why many of our clients come by word of mouth. Every executive is assigned a personal Patient Care Coordinator to provide a supportive and nurturing scheduling and exam preparation experience. 5-Star Customer Service Training for all employees makes a day at Princeton Longevity Center feel more like a five-star hotel service than a typical doctor’s office experience. During a day that can be stressful or unnerving for some, we take the time to build relationships with our clients and make them feel cared for by keeping the focus on them at all times.

Could you elaborate on your client onboarding process?

Our approach to client onboarding is simple and can be completed in less than 24 hours. For companies looking to engage Princeton Longevity Center in an agreement for Executive Physical services, they will complete an RFI that includes basic demographic and billing information, the minimum number of executives to be involved in the program, and they will choose how to customize the exam elective offerings. An agreement will be drawn up based on the information provided and executed between the two parties. From there, our Corporate Services Manager will facilitate implementation of the program complete with customized communications for the eligible executive team.

Could you share a customer success story?

In my 20 years at Princeton Longevity Center, there have been many. Can you imagine having your phone ring and it’s someone calling to thank you directly for saving their life? It’s an unbelievable feeling. Over the years we have found hundreds of cancers in patients who had no symptoms or knowledge of an underlying problem. We’ve found thousands with heart disease - many with perfect cholesterol and no symptoms or other risk factors. For example, we had a high-level pharmaceutical executive complete a Princeton Longevity Center Executive Exam and learn she had lung cancer. Luckily it was found early, as most are, and to treat it she simply had a small portion of the affected lung removed. There was no need for chemotherapy or radiation; she was simply cured because it was found early. There are so many similar stories where we find issues that clients never would have imagined they are at risk for, and we end up saving their lives.
