With Natural Language Processing (NLP), computers can analyze context and understand the meaning. AI-driven technology makes it easier to upload CVs, define the desired employee attributes and then deploy the algorithm to scan through the documents to show the most promising candidates. The algorithm removes the personal bias element from the search and saves time.
On-demand video interviewing eliminates the interview scheduling headaches. Presently, AI-driven video assessments are gaining are becoming a part of the hiring process. The technology can pinpoint choice of words, intonation, body language, and 20,000 such data points within just a 15-minute interview, which can be used to compare candidates. The AI-driven technology takes the guesswork out of the process and assists in selecting suitable candidates for recruitment.
An organization’s success depends on how their employees are performing. The organization must know the kind of employee experience they are providing. Generally, the HR department becomes aware of an issue only when it reaches the point of no return. Sentiment analysis allows HR teams to interpret different types of emotions. Additionally, AI-based NLP and machine learning can even distinguish between the emotions as small as confusion and worry.
AI is a very appealing option for candidate assessment. However, it is necessarily not the best course of action. For instance, NLP can help in narrowing down the talent pool, but the end stage of assessments should be firmly in the human hands. Thus, AI must be used to assist humans in the hiring process rather than totally depending on it.
