Stress is a major contributor to poor health. Companies should consider eradicating back-to-back meetings and instituting a 15-minute mindful break between them. Once a month, employees should take a guided mindfulness break; many are available online. Mindful breaks improve health outcomes.
Mental Illness First Aid Certification
Mental Health First Aid is a very helpful program offered by the National Council for Behavioral Health. It is quite similar to CPR. A certified member of the HR team should be present. Employees are under growing pressure, and if we can identify a problem before it becomes an incident, it benefits everyone. Furthermore, the goal is to remove the stigma associated with mental illness.
Programs for Emotional Wellness
Employees value opportunities to improve their emotional wellness in addition to the classics, such as step contests and weight loss initiatives. During the day, employees can use quiet campus rooms to meditate, rest, or reflect. Employees can get outside and enjoy the sunshine by providing walking trails or outdoor seating areas. Plants in the office can be calming and add a splash of color.
