Gartner has recognized five areas that when dug out, will prove how deeper considerations at work will turn out good:
• Developing a Robust AI Ethics Strategy:
Now more than ever, Data is used everywhere to make decisions from talent acquisition to workplace design. Gartner's research reports that about 75 percent of the organizations have suddenly increased their investments in analytics. The increasing focus on talent analytics has carved a question mark among the HR leaders as to how data can be collected ethically and use it without jeopardy. These questions are mainly answered by the increased deployment of AI in the workplace as HR must support an ethical AI and analytics strategy that trains the leaders for the real-world decision making tasks.
• Rethinking how Employees Develop Skills:
The skill sets employee will need for the future are quite different from what they possess at present. On-the-job training is the more primordial method to improve the digital skills of the employees. However, according to Gartner, 47 percent of on-the-job learning opportunities are at risk due to automation or elimination by AI.
Organizations must audit existing capacities and prepare for the future by training the employees to handle the technologies and re-imagine development.
• Building an Internal Transparency Strategy:
With feedback sites like glassdoor, more information from the internal environment on employers and workplaces is made public. It is a good idea for candidates, so that they can attain the information about the companies from these platforms. By increasing the internal transparency, HR can attract genuine talents for the company, ideally those who are prepared for the future. Managers must be trained to function in a more transparent setting and allow employees to get access to privy information and learn to maintain the balance of power.
• Using AI to Enable Access to Jobs for Those who have been Left out of the Labor Market:
More than 70 percent of the CHROs have reported to Gartner that AI will replace manual labor in the coming years. Although many posts will be deemed redundant due to new technology taking over, more new kinds of jobs that did not exist before will be introduced to those who have not had access historically.
To open up the access to talent pools, the HR should first conduct an audit in the internal systems and practices for identifying the potential barriers to success. Then, the next step for the organizations is to implement technology that will allow the work environment for the freshers to enter the labor market.
