FREMONT, CA: ChatGPT may hold the key to crafting the ideal CV. Since its November launch, more job seekers have used the popular AI-powered chatbot to help them create cover letters, revise resumes, and prepare replies to interview questions. Nearly half of more than 1,000 prospective or current job seekers questioned in a study reported using ChatGPT to create their resume or cover letter. Most recruiters and hiring managers can't identify ChatGPT at this time, and it's not something job seekers should be penalized for using as long as ChatGPT isn't performing 100 percent of the work. However, it is critical to mix the chatbot's corrections with your editing and voice and to double-check that the CV you build reflects your experience. You can only partially rely on ChatGPT; there must be some skepticism to ensure you obtain accurate information. You only need to proofread and edit.'
If you're starting from scratch, ChatGPT can assist you in creating a customized template. It is critical to select two samples of resume forms that you enjoy, submit them to ChatGPT, and request that the bot generate a resume format based on the examples you provided. The bot can also construct your resume if you have an updated LinkedIn profile; you may share a link with ChatGPT and ask the bot to build a resume based on the information in your profile, which should provide you with the available first draft. When creating resumes, people need help arranging the material logically and keeping the most crucial information on one page. ChatGPT can offer you specific instructions on achieving this; you only have to proofread and edit when required.
Once you've completed a decent resume draft, you can use ChatGPT to edit your bullet points, ensure you've included the keywords, and inform potential employers. When you provide ChatGPT with personal information to work with and use it to match your CV to a job you're interested in, it will give you greater, more intelligent insight. ChatGPT's algorithms are designed to recognize essential phrases and terms typically found in job descriptions and common resume blunders.
