Paul Courtaud, CEO, NeobrainThis is where Neobrain makes a world of difference. The company provides companies the keys to maintain their activity in a world where jobs and skills evolve constantly.
A Tale of Perseverance, Passion, and Dedication
Neobrain was founded by a dedicated entrepreneur and tech enthusiast, Paul Courtaud to reconcile HR objectives, management goals, and employee motivation. This was not Courtaud's first venture in the business world. At the age of 17, he set the foundation of his first company, Futurness to provide educational and professional orientation coaching for young people. The company was later acquired by L'Etudiant, a French training, studies, and trades company.
As the next step in his entrepreneurial journey, Courtaud shifted his attention to the job market and started understanding its critical nuances. The findings were astonishing, to say the least. He discovered that more than 52 percent of the fortune 500 companies have disappeared in the past 20 years due to their inability to rightly manage human capital. Courtaud also discovered that many of these organisations could not adapt to the changes happening in their respective markets. As a result, they often struggled to make the right decisions around anticipating skill evolution, retaining talent, and implementing an effective talent development plan. "When I set the foundation of Neobrain, my primary goal was to address all these challenges," mentions Courtaud, who is currently donning the role of President and CEO at Neobrain. "Our team consists of developers, data scientists, UX designers, and HR experts who believe in keeping everything simple for clients and bringing the right skills in the right place, at the right time. This allows clients to turn individual skills into collective performance."
Bringing all the Crucial Information at the Fingertip
Neobrain has architected an AI-enabled tool to analyse the job market and see trends prevalent in it. It analyses millions of job offers across 50 countries every day to understand the skills trending in different industries across the globe. As such, organisations can build their own skills and job framework to evaluate the employees better and find the talent gaps within their internal resources.
Neobrain is more like a pocket application that offers clients with a unique portal for career path management
The platform is a four-module dynamic talent management tool. The first one, the Skills module, offers a comprehensive overview of all employee skills within a company and allows HRDs to quickly build an internal skills and jobs repository. Next on the list is the Talents Module. This single talent interface helps HRs and managers drive employee development and engagement. The third module, Upskilling, provides training-oriented modules to develop and monitor skills. It enables employees to explore their aspirations and have the right skill set to achieve those. The last one is Mobility, or a smart internal talent marketplace. It allows employees to view, apply, and track internal and external mobility opportunities. Promoting internal mobility across the board can greatly benefit employers, given the lack of qualified candidates in the market. It allows businesses to align employees' career objectives with business goals and build a more trusted relationship.
To best describe the platform's functionalities, consider two scenarios from the standpoint of an employee and a manager. On the one hand, Neobrain allows employees to access the platform and synchronise their LinkedIn profiles or import resumes.
The system automatically translates their previous experience into 10-15 critical skills they have developed over the years. Finally, it suggests the right training or the right next step. More importantly, Neobrain realises that self-assessment can be biased. As such, the platform has more than 500 standardised tests that provide employers with a clear view of where their employees stand. Employees can also provide feedback and analyse other potential skills that they need to master to progress their careers.
On the other hand, for managers, Neobrain's platform helps identify employees who are suitable for training and capable of driving positive business outcomes. For instance, if a manager finds that 58 percent of his employees are eligible for skill enhancement, the platform drills deeper to find the department housing these employees and the scale at which they need to be upskilled. "They can just see all the details in one click without undergoing the complicated process of maintaining multiple spreadsheets," mentions Courtaud. The system also allows managers to understand which employees are disengaged or planning for retirement. As a result, managers can anticipate their next step to avoid every possibility of skill gaps within their organisations.

The Urge of Driving Continuous Innovation
With two-thirds of its team specialised in technical production, Neobrain has the capability to leverage different technologies to power its product and eliminate the roadblocks hindering an organisation's and employee's talent and career management efficiency. The system screens and analyses companies of different sizes from various industries to keep track of the skills required within organisations and understand their relevance. It takes the burden of creating skills and job frameworks away from the HR departments. Clients can also understand all the skills a candidate might require in the future and rightly strategise their evolution.

Our team consists of developers, data scientists, UX designers, and HR experts who believe in keeping everything simple for clients and bringing the right skills in the right place, at the right time.
In addition, Neobrain prides itself on being a one-stop solution that integrates itself with market leaders (like TalentSoft, Oracle, SAP, or Workday) through their API, in order to offer an engaging user experience. "Neobrain is more like a pocket application that offers clients with a unique portal for career path management. Our primary aim is to define what steps employees should take to advance their careers and maintain their relevance in the market," he adds. What's more? Neobrain's data-based decision tool offers objective people analytics. This assists clients in improving diversity, social equity, and inclusion policies.
With such a comprehensive solution, Neobrain constantly explores new growth avenues. The company will close its second round of fundraising for its upcoming expansion in Germany and the UK within the next two months. Moving ahead, Neobrain plans to invest in strategic workforce planning. It has already started helping companies simulate different workforce trajectories and crash test hypotheses to understand how to handle different scenarios and eliminate disparities that might affect workforce efficiency. Neobrain is also planning to launch the second version of its platform shortly. "The job market and employer-employee relation are undergoing a rapid change. Our key objective is to bring HR managers, managers, and employees on the same page. We plan for the future and never dwell in the past, and that's the recipe behind our success in such a short span," concludes Courtaud.
