Alan Landers, Director of The Landers Consulting Group
For the last five years, Alan and LCG have specialized in applying dialogic organization development (OD) practices to achieve transformational culture change. Dialogic organization development is the most recent evolution of OD and is based on emergent change theory and practices. Alan has become an expert in engaging management and employees from an entire organization or whole divisions of an organization in the planning and implementation of change projects through highly interactive large-group interventions and discussions.

Though dialogic OD has existed for nearly 15 years, few practitioners are familiar with its concepts and practices. Alan has been offering a certificate program in OD and Change Leadership through the Peter Drucker Graduate School since 2019, introducing modern organizational change and management principles to new and senior practitioners.
Using AI to Teach
Alan is also the CEO of a significant BPO firm located in Islamabad, Pakistan. That company, FirstStep Communications, is integrating artificial intelligence into their operations to enhance client service capabilities. For instance, they are developing an AI-based app to streamline coaching and performance management, using telephony and portable video technology to capture and update employee actions and achievements.
Utilizing AI’s ever-expanding capabilities, LCG is using this technology to capture employee’s actions and results to create highly effective skills training modules. For instance, imagine a welder working in a large cargo ship. He encounters a situation that requires help. Instead of waiting for someone to come to him, he accesses a video recording to learn what to do. As he works, he uses a video camera attached to his helmet to record his work. When he’s done, he presses a button, and the video and audio are entered into the company’s learning database. Later, he uses his cell phone to update his personnel file to include the work he just finished. His supervisor can instantly see what her subordinate welder did, the date, time, and the results. This new app compiles all the updates made by the employee and his supervisor and creates a summary that can be used for coaching and performance management purposes.
Being a visionary, we have incorporated a program designed on OD and change leadership for the middle managers leading them to become future leaders. Our company is all about learning, skill development, and future planning, and no more of the old point of view
Improving Employee Accountability
Similarly, in 2019, LCG introduced a pioneering accountability framework to address long-standing client concerns about accountability. Unlike traditional results-focused approaches, this method emphasizes continuous learning, skills development, and forward-thinking planning in its processes for increasing employee accountability. LCG has been introducing its learning and forward-focused accountability methods in its management and executive development programs for five years.
Client-Centric Contracting and Empowerment
A distinctive aspect of LCG is its client-centric contracting processes. After initial interviews and assessments, Alan submits an online app that breaks down the proposed change intervention into distinct phases with action steps and deliverables for each phase along with “on-site” and “off-site” development time and the costs. This transparent approach allows clients to prioritize interventions based on their needs, contributing to significant cost savings and improved project ROI, as demonstrated by recent client successes.

A core LCG principle is empowering clients so they can continue change initiatives themselves. The company teaches its clients its methods and processes empowering them attain their visions and goals independently. Unlike other firms that latch onto clients, the Landers Consulting Group teaches them how to proceed without them.

The LCG team of skilled and experienced educators and practitioners is constantly engaged in research, continuing education, and exploring new technologies. They are active in industry associations and are active contributors to social networks in the field. They see themselves as visionaries and seek to expand their expertise as well as the expertise and capabilities of their clients.
