It would be great if you can give our readers an overview of Guerrero Law Firm.

We are not just lawyers—we are innovative problem solvers. We treat all our clients with respect irrespective of their size and offer our legal expertise to solve their complex problems. Our bespoke immigration services depend on the size and needs of our corporate client.

We go beyond being just attorneys. We partner with our clients to understand their business and formulate ways to serve them better. As a result, we have developed a tremendous reputation nationally and internationally.

How do you serve your clients when it comes to Immigration Laws?

Our goal is to provide employment solutions while reducing the risks our corporate clients face and managing their costs. For that, we rely on and deliver to them the predictability of the immigration system. We can foresee and plan for potential changes in the immigration space and inform them of the same. We strategize with the clients to file the correct cases and offer them contingency plans if any changes arise in the case fact pattern or the immigration law.

Additionally, our clients appreciate our approachability. When they come for help, we never pass them off to paralegals. As the Principal Attorney of the law firm, initially and on a frequent basis, I speak with them directly along with my Managing Attorney.

Can you tell us about what happens at the Guerrero Law Firm after you onboard a client? What kind of benefits does your client get?

After onboarding a client, we nimbly suggest different strategies and alternatives to an immigration case that their foreign talent has taken up.

Over the last 20 years, the immigration law has become very complex and you have to be aware of every minute change to be able to navigate the pitfalls

We are always a phone call or a Zoom call away from any HR, business leader, or client company employee in any query. We speak directly to HR and the organization leader, to understand exactly what they are trying to accomplish. Based on that information, we design a unique creative immigration solution before we put pen to paper.

Is there a particular example where you helped one of your clients in their immigration predicament?

Corporate clients have been facing issues in mainly two facets of immigration law in recent times. One is the COVID pandemic, and the other is the scarcity of the H-1B professional worker visa.

Last year, an international travel ban due to the pandemic hit a large corporate client of the finance industry. They needed to bring analysts from the UK and India to join their operations in the United States. We dissected the new executive orders and procedures issued by the Federal Government and deftly navigated the immigration petition process, securing emergency visa appointments at various consulates abroad. It took a team of our expert lawyers and support staff working round the clock in crafting compelling arguments that accomplished the client’s goals. That, I think, brought out the best in our law firm, and it’s a beautiful thing to be a part of.

In another example, we had a client in the high-end international fashion industry. They wished to bring a renowned shoe designer from Italy. But we were not within the H-1B visa filing season. There was no other way to deliver a visa that would work for him in a traditional sense. We created an innovative legal strategy for him to come to the U.S. with an H-3 training visa. With that, we brought him here and had him trained for a period before going back to Italy, where he will help build an operations base for the client.

How did your 20 years of experience and Immigration Law expertise play into the Guerrero Law Firm’s success?

Thanks to our 20 years of experience and immigration law expertise, our attorneys are recognized by our peers as experts. We teach immigration law at law schools and universities across the U.S. We have served as chairs in national bar associations and have received countless awards and accolades for our work.

We take pride in our reputation as agile problem solvers. We enjoy taking complex problems that are difficult for other attorneys to solve and deliver solutions for our clients. Over the last 20 years, U.S. immigration law has become incredibly complex, and you have to be aware of every minute change to navigate the pitfalls.

How do you envision the company’s future when it comes to the next 12-18 months?

We have successfully represented both corporate and individual clients all over the world from our New York office. However, we realize that many potential clients may require our presence on different sides of the Earth. As such, we are considering building a base in Asia. This is something we are extremely excited about.
